Moderate Means Program
You May Qualify for Reduced Rates
The WSBA Moderate Means Program (MMP) is a state-wide, reduced-fee lawyer referral service which connects Washington State's moderate-income households with attorneys who have agreed to offer reduced-fee legal assistance for housing, consumer and family law issues. If you do not qualify for legal aid, but still can't afford an attorney, the Moderate Means Program may be able to connect you with an attorney willing to charge reduced rates. Visit http://www.moderatemeanswa.org/ to see if you are eligible. Caitlyn is currently a participating attorney.
Limited License Legal Technicians (LLT)
Alternative Legal Assistance
Washington is the first state in the country to offer an affordable legal services option to help meet the needs of those unable to afford the services of a lawyer. A limited license legal technician, also known as a legal technician or a LLLT, is licensed by the Washington Supreme Court to advise and assist people going through divorce, child custody, and other family law matters in Washington. Steve has dedicated countless hours to and is a tireless advocate for the LLLT program in Washington. We may be able to make a referral to an LLT in your area if their services fit your needs.
